Oakdale Corridor Improvements Update

This concept focuses on pedestrian and vehicular safety as well as aesthetic improvements  https://smyrnasplost.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Concept-35x150-FULL-CONCEPT-OAKDALE-ALT-1NEWEST.pdf

As we look forward to an opportunity to host a virtual Open House (date TBD), we encourage you to review the concept (made available through this post and the above link) as well as review the FAQ (available through a link offered in this post).

Keep in mind that the following has been achieved with this concept:

  • Safety for pedestrian access of park property
  • Modification to Oak & S. Cobb Drive for safety
  • Lane configuration at Oakdale and Highlands to facility vehicular safety and ease of transition/flow of traffic – focusing on safe access and movement
  • Center medians will be planter boxes – no adverse impact on businesses – improved aesthetic appeal

You may have questions that are addressed through this FAQ https://smyrnasplost.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Oakdale-Road-Corridor-FAQ.pdf
