Within many of our well-built and well-loved neighborhoods are new, in-fill residential additions. If you want new construction, you will find pleasing options matching the style and/or spirit of existing neighborhoods. If your preference is more time-honored, you will be equally pleased. Either way you go, there is lasting quality in our neighborhoods and all around Smyrna.

Most of the existing neighborhoods such as Smyrna Heights do not have traditional neighborhood markers or single-point entry. They are open and social interaction is free flowing. In Smyrna, you have the added value of neighborhood activities and social capital. There are neighborhood associations and activities throughout the year, in addition to City community events offered throughout the year.

Most neighborhood associations are voluntary and have websites. As you look more closely at Smyrna as your home, be sure to ask your realtor for information about neighborhood associations and/or organized activities and social gatherings within the neighborhood, in addition to City organized activities in our downtown.

Williams Park - often referred to as our oldest neighborhood. This is where you’ll find porch-at-the-sidewalk sweet. Craftsman, Victorian and other historic home styles are abundant. The appeal of this neighborhood goes well beyond the traditional. Housing options also include lofts and emerging mixed-use - a bit of urban chic mixed with the sweet. Like having friendly, interesting neighbors and being close to shops and restaurants? The Williams Park neighbors hold an annual garage sale, and a fall festival in addition to other social events. The Williams Park neighborhood is a short walk from the downtown and our famous Market Village.

Forest Hills – trees, trees, trees and a forest of homes of many styles and lot sizes, close to downtown and stretching a bit beyond. One can get lost in the security and tranquility of Forest Hills. considered one of the most desirable established neighborhoods in Smyrna, there is plenty of social activity throughout the year, but October is a very busy time in Forest Hills with trick-or-treating activities, a fall festival and even activities for the pet-centered family.

Smyrna Heights – mid-century reliability - the "height "of sustainability – kids walking to the park to honey bees pollinating backyard gardens – lovable pets and friendly dogs behind every doorstep and friendly neighbors walking them at all hours of the day and on beautiful evenings, too. While Smyrna Heights is not a subdivision with a large shared amenity area it is part of the Greater City of Smyrna and there are quite a few public parks in and around the neighborhood. Many of these parks are well within walking distance and are very well maintained. Still within walking distance from downtown, Smyrna Heights is close to not one but two of Smyrna’s larger public parks with a swimming pool, tennis courts, ball fields, walking trails and more almost next door to every home.

Market Village – downtown is all around – The “Walkable Walk-to Neighborhood” – townhomes over popular restaurants and shops. These homes rest over the social center of downtown. Music events and weekly happenings at the restaurants let you know that life is good in Smyrna.

Bennett Woods – traditional/suburban plan – Bennett Woods is a neighborhood of over 300 homes located between Concord Road and North Cooper Lake Road. The majority of the homes are traditional brick ranches built in the 1960s and 1970s, a very good time for solid construction and neighborhood traditions.

Vinings Estates - described as a wooded retreat, but without the long drive. This neighborhood featuring large homesites nestled in rolling hills and wooded terrain is a master-planned neighborhood with all the amenities to expect from resort living. Among the many things offered in Vinings Estates are three swimming pools, tennis courts, clubhouses and playgrounds.

Cheney Woods – built in the 1950s/60s, this neighborhood consists of 200+ homes within walking distance of the Market Village in Smyrna. Homes in the Cheney Woods neighborhood are largely traditional ranch homes with many having been renovated in recent years due to the popular Smyrna location. This neighborhood is adjacent to Campbell High School, Cobb Park and Ward Park.
