The City of Smyrna’s Office of the City Clerk mission is to connect its citizens to their government and ensure their trust by supporting the City’s legislative process through transparent, accurate and timely legislative history; preserve the City’s historical records; offer support to the election process; and serve citizens and staff with the utmost professionalism, efficiency and courtesy.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

• Maximize public access to local government
• Accurately record and carefully preserve the legislative history of the City
• Provide the public timely access to City records and information
• Support staff and offer simplified access to all records and information
• Offer support services to Cobb Elections to ensure voter accessibility
• Provide governing body support for elections, meetings and training
• Streamline the use of electronic document storage and retention and the use of electronic signatures and forms.
