Annual Water Rate Message

Each year in January, wholesale water rates charged to the City increase. This year rates are set to increase by 2.5% due to the need to offset ongoing and planned infrastructure and repair costs. Beginning with January 2021 service, a 2.5% increase on each City of Smyrna water tier will apply. If your usage is around 7,000 gallons, this means that the increase will amount to an additional $0.89 per month (approx.). Storm water rates will also increase by $0.07 from $3.45 to $3.52. Sewer and base rates are not scheduled to change with this notice. The new water rates are effective January 01, 2021 and will be reflected on your February 2021 statement.
