Rain Barrel Workshop

Class size limited to five (5) per session.

Location: Lawn outside Smyrna Library near the playground.
Age restriction: For ages 16 through adult. Power tools are involved.
Instructor: Aminta Liu, Cobb County Watershed Stewardship Program
Description: Rain barrels are a great way to conserve water and help improve local water quality. Keeping and using rain water on your property helps reduce pollution, erosion and improves local watershed health. This session will use kits and recycled barrels. Participants will take home a completed project to harvest roof runoff to water plants or gardens.
The workshop is free of charge. All supplies are provided by Cobb County Watershed, Keep Smyrna Beautiful and Smyrna Public Library. The workshop is outside so please wear sunscreen and clothes/shoes that can get wet/dirty.
Rain Barrel Workshop COVID-19 Public Safety Guidelines:
Face masks will be required to be worn at all times.
All tools and supplies will be sanitized before, during, and after each program.
Each participant will be at the minimum of 6 feet away for social distancing.
