What do a former Ringling clown and a children's author have in common? They're coming together to entertain YOUR children this summer with a WILD Animal Adventure! We're pleased to offer this new, free program for our patrons in partnership with Page Turner Adventures. From comedy shows to cooking, this interactive program is sure to entertain. There will be a new adventure each weekday for all EIGHT weeks of summer reading.
AUTHOR DAY: Candace Fleming
Candace Fleming is the acclaimed author of more than forty books for children and young adults, including this year’s Sibert Medal Award Winning Book Honeybee: The Busy Life of Apis Mellifera. We’ll chat with Candace about bees and then we’ll talk about the true story of the Bronx Zoo’s First Woman Zoo Keeper, the subject of her book Cubs in the Tub.
