Teen Time: Craft for a Cause 13-18 years old Tuesday, October 12th 6:00PM-7:00PM Smyrna Library, Meeting Room
The most relaxing and rewarding hour of the month: Crafts for a Cause! On the second Tuesday of every month, local teens (aged 13-18) meet at 6:00PM to make a new craft that benefits the community. Teens have created everything from snowman sock stuffies for hospitalized kids, to beautiful wreaths for nursing home residents, and much more. Each participating teen will receive volunteer service time for each monthly program attended (plus unlimited warm fuzzies).
Cards for Kindness is a wonderful organization that helps participants spread kindness through creativity. We’ll each create original designs for “Thinking of You,” “Happy Hello,” and message-free cards. Once Cards for Kindness receives them, they’ll be distributed to hospitals, crisis centers, cancer foundations, retirement homes, and more, where caregivers will add handwritten messages. Don’t miss this chance to bring some extra love into the world!
