Notice: Street Closures & Parking for the 2022 Spring Jonquil Festival
Fri., April 22 through Sun., April 24 - downtown area all streets around City Hall and the Market Village - beginning at 9:00 am
Beginning at 9:00 am today, Friday, April 22, we will be closing the streets for the Spring Jonquil Festival. This includes the streets and all parking spaces around City Hall (front, sides and back) as well the Market Village. Booth setup begins at Noon. There should be access to the Utilities drive-up window, but please keep in mind that, even with Festival staff assisting, it could be slower getting to the window as the vendors are arriving and setting up for the Festival. Anyone now parked in the Market Village center streets (W. Spring Street) and other places within the approved Festival area will be asked to move their vehicles as we continue with setup for the Festival. City Hall is open on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, however, usual parking is not available.
Parking: Today and Saturday, parking is available behind each building of the Market Village and the Smyrna First Baptist parking lots off King Street. On Sunday, one of the church lots will not be available for Festival parking and will have signage posted indicating no Festival parking. If parking behind Market Village buildings, please do not park in or block residential drives. To access these areas you will use either the entrance/exit off King across from Stephens Street for the Smyrna First Baptist side and use the entrance/exit off Atlanta Road at The Bubble Tea and Nothing Bunt Cakes entrance.
The Festival runs Sat., April 23 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm and Sun., April 24 from Noon until 5:00 pm. Please keep in mind that the Crawfish Boil hosted by Atkins Park will take place Saturday and Sunday as well. They begin at 11:00 am each day and run until 11:00 pm (outdoor music ending at 10:00 pm).
We thank you for your patience and assistance as this new footprint for the Spring Festival adjusts to downtown construction. The weather this weekend will be wonderful!
