Materials and instruction for this workshop series is provided by the Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking, located on the Georgia Tech campus. Our instructor is Virginia Howell, Museum Director.
FEE: $75 for workshop trio (must register for all three classes)

Friday, March 17, 2023 – 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon Workshop #1: Japanese Stab Binding
Description: The Japanese Stab binding is a traditional binding technique called Yotsume Toji, which translates to “four holes.” Decorative paper wrapped covers enclose the interior folio pages which are bound together through punched holes and stitching.
Friday, March 24, 2023 – 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon Workshop #2: Petal Fold Book
Description: The petal fold book technique combines book binding with origami to create a book that blooms or unfolds at it opens. The book has decorative paper wrapped tag-board covers, eight origami folded pages with a ribbon binding and closure.

Description: Quilling is a historic paper craft in which strips of paper are twirled, spun, and combined to create beautiful, dimensional works. Learn how to quill with everyday materials, or with tools and create your own one-of-a-kind artwork.
