Boil Water Advisory for portions of Smyrna (Fri., Jan 19, 2024): The southwest portion of Smyrna is affected by this boil water advisory due to cobb Marietta water authority 36” transmission line that bursted sometime during the night. Updates will be provided as they are available.

 

CCMWA had a large water main break reported around 1:00 am on January 19, 2024. It is on Macedonia Rd, at the intersection close to Red Rose Drive on CCMWA's 36” PPCP pipe. A temporary loss of pressure occurred in parts of CCMWA's transmission system, which is generally the southwest quarter of Cobb County; please see the attached map for a detailed area. CCMWA is recommending a Boil Water Advisory for the area where there was a loss of pressure.
