Is your kiddo a reluctant reader? Are they shy or just need a little extra encouragement when reading? Smyrna Library Teens will earn volunteer service hours this summer while reading to Smyrna Library Kids. Sign up for a time slot and have your child bring a book they are currently reading, or let the teens read a book from the Youth Services Librarian’s favorite books collection. Teens earn service hours AND your child reads for their Summer Reading Challenge—everyone wins!

Click here to register your child for a time slot. Responsible adults must remain in the meeting room during their child’s reading time. Buddy reading is for recreational purposes. Teens are not trained to support reading strategies and skills but can help younger children with pronunciation.
