Event Description: Learn about the physics of the suspension and tension balance principle to create a model of a tensegrity table which appears as though the tabletop floats in air.
Tinker Lab offers hands-on building activities for kids and adults working together. The library's goal for Tinker Lab is to provide an opportunity for an adult and a child to learn together and work collaboratively to solve a problem or create something new. Tinker Lab is not a drop-in program for all ages. It is designed to be a one-to-one learning experience for elementary-age children and their parent/caregiver. The activities are too complex for younger children.
Reminders:
- Please no daycare groups.
- Please do not bring younger siblings.
- Please arrive on time. Tinker Lab is not a drop-in activity.
