All of these units are focused on supporting community policing and problem solving initiatives undertaken by the Police Department. 

A majority of our efforts are committed to the reduction of traffic accidents and traffic violations through problem solving, collaboration and enforcement. Our efforts also include providing safe and efficient flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic including a safe environment for both to travel. All significant special events in the City of Smyrna are effectively coordinated and managed by providing additional staffing resources and traffic control and by working closely with other agencies and organizations.

We are also committed to the enforcement of all violations. Moreover, we are committed to the surveillance, detection and apprehension of criminals in close cooperation and collaboration with the Uniform and the Criminal Investigations Divisions.
